<--Previous Up Next--> Following dramatic flooding of Norhampton in the 1950s, the Washlands scheme was built in 1979. It can hold 500 million gallons of water, and the EA have recently provided these moorings on floating pontoons just above Weston Favell lock. This solves the problem of where to moor after or just before passing through Northampton, which doesn't have a good reputation for overnighting. |
