While we were on the Great Ouse, Elanor rang us and said "Any chance of a week's holiday - I need some exercise" Sure, we said, join us at Peterborough and leave us at Northampton. So she did, and worked 36 river locks in between. We were ever so grateful, especially for the ones like this, which need 150 turns of that wheel to lower the gate, and then 150 turns to raise it again.
