Sheila and Sanity at Brandon Lock

Until recently, the Little Ouse was only navigable as far as Brandon, though in times past you could go a lot further. Then they restored Brandon Lock, but only to 40' long, so we had to stop here. As can be seen from the table top, the whole area, which had been beautifully laid out with picnic tables and interpretation boards, has suffered severe vandalism. The scars on the table are the result of someone lighting a fire on it. It's not only in the inner cities that local attitudes are a problem.
