| Bruce's last job was as Associate Director of the Institute of Medical & Social Care Research, University of Wales, Bangor. He was formerly Head of Psychology Services (Mental Health) in Gwynedd Community NHS Trust, and previously Deputy Executive Secretary of the British Psychological Society. He qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1973 at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and gained wide experience in clinical work, in setting up clinical psychology services, and in the implementation of clinical effectiveness initiatives. He was a member of the Mental Health Act Commission between 1983 and 1987.
He now lives in happy retirement on board Sanity, and says the only reservation he has about giving up work is that he should have done it sooner. |
